(Retired Projects)
The Foundation has launched the Step Up Scholarship to help young people from all walks of life accomplish economic, social, and willful independence and become proud members of society.
Together with the Korea National Association of Child Welfare (KNACW) and Korea Public Service Corporation Association (KPCA), the Foundation provides a foundation of social support for those that will soon age out or have already aged out of the system so that they become independent individuals with initiative and the right values.
Among those who will soon age out or have aged out of the system (between the ages of 17 and 27) and are looking for a job, twenty applicants with passion and persistence will be selected annually after an application screening and interview process. The selected recipients will be awarded vocational training expenses worth up to KRW 12 million, living expenses worth KRW 7.6 million, and various support and educational programs for two years.
