Building on the desire of Honorary Chairman Se-yung Chung that one can only raise competitiveness when the fundamentals are firmly established, Pony Chung Foundation has been promoting academic research projects to support the development of humanities since 2007.
In 2013, Pony Chung Foundation

Every May, Pony Chung Foundation opens a public contest for the academic funding of research projects. After a document screening process and one-on-one interview, the two most outstanding researchers are selected as final recipients. They are each supported with 40 million KRW as research fund and maximum 10 million KRW as publishing fund. Every February, Pony Chung Foundation holds a yearly banquet to share the research performance of the year’s recipients.
