We will boost interest in Asia and the world

Together with the Asian Culture Research Institute,
the Pony Chung Foundation has established
the "Pony Chung Humanities School" project
to support research on East Asian studies
that is worth KRW 100 million annually.

We enhance research capabilities and nurture talent
through in-depth convergence research and diverse
academic exchanges.

We enhance research capabilities and nurture talent through in-depth convergence research and diverse academic exchanges.

Major Program

For three years, we have supported KRW 300 million in funds, created high-quality humanities lectures, expanded opportunities for academic exchanges among researchers, and enhanced our identity as a "humanities school" by sharing and communicating our successful business results with the public.
Every program is accessible to the public through writings, publications, and videos, to provide high-quality humanities content.

Pony Chung Lecture Series

Staying away from entertainment-oriented humanities content, this program provides insightful lectures that aim for academic perfection.

Voice of Asia

We invite writers, NGO activists, and artists from the entire Asian region to participate in our seminars, and hear speakers in the Asian field who work beyond mere academicism.

East-West Exchange Colloquium

Specialists in various fields come together to discuss current concerns and pursue certain methods, to contribute to society in their particular field of study.
We contribute to promoting transnational research with our innovative and global perspective intersecting East and West.
By sharing the recent research results and directions in each field, we support the expansion of humanities-based interdisciplinary research and methodology.

Seminar Program

We operate educational programs to nurture students of East Asian studies by inviting notable scholars of East Asian studies, and conducting intensive seminars in the summer and winter semesters.
