Our abilities as humans are boundless. What seems impossible today is eventually accomplished by those who seek to achieve their goals with confidence, an unshakeable will, and the strength to pursue daring initiatives. Honorary Chairman Chung was just such a man.
Arts Scholarship & Young Chang Music Concours
Commemorating the grand opening of Pony Chung Hall in May 2008, Pony Chung Foundation created a special art scholarship program to provide support for the science of the arts and helping foster talents that will grow to represent Korea proudly in the future. From 2008 to 2010, the foundation supported Kim Jun-hee, a student at the Korea National University of Arts, with scholarships and the sponsorship of recitals. Currently, Kim is well on his way to becoming a globally renowned pianist.

North Korean Defector Scholarship (Retired Projects)
This program aims to support English education for North Korean defectors working hard to settle in Korea after leaving their homes in North Korea. We support them to complete the English course in the British Council, and students who are selected for the English for the Future Program (EFF) get the opportunity to take a six-month English course at the British Council and a two-month internship at the British Embassy. The students can continue to study at a university in the UK with the Chevening Scholarship or improve their English proficiency through language study abroad programs.
